Highland Heights

Window Installation for Highland Heights homes

Highland Heights grew around NKU along Alexandria Pike, mixing mid-century ranches with newer homes put up as the university expanded. The older ranches here still carry a lot of original windows, and the failure point is almost always the fit rather than the glass: openings that have settled, frames set loose decades ago, and drafts that pour in around the perimeter no matter how well the sash closes.

We fix the perimeter, which is where the cold actually gets in. Every Highland Heights opening gets read for level, shimmed true, and sealed with flashing and insulation all the way around instead of a bead of caulk. If the old framing is soft we handle it before the new window goes in. The trim is fit tight, the old windows are hauled away, and the floors are swept before we leave. Most homes take one to three days, and our lifetime labor warranty stays with the house.

Window Installation

The Install Is Half the Window

Most window problems aren’t the window — they’re the install. A perfect unit set out of level or poorly sealed will leak air and water no matter how good the glass is. That’s why we use full-time, factory-certified employees, flash and insulate every opening, and back the labor with a lifetime warranty. Job sites get left cleaner than we found them.

Want the bigger picture? Pair it with replacement windows or a new entry door, and ask about rolling it into one 0%-for-24-months project. For efficiency ratings, the Energy Star program is a good reference.

Common questions

Window Installation FAQs

Where does the cold actually get in on my older Highland Heights home?

Usually around the frame, not through the glass. Original windows in mid-century ranches were set loose and caulked, and that perimeter leaks as the caulk ages. We seal the full opening with flashing and insulation, which is what stops the draft that new glass alone never fixes.

How long does window installation take?

Most whole-home projects take one to three days depending on count and size — one Covington job of 23 windows took our crew three days, cleaned up each evening.

Do you use subcontractors?

Never. Every install is done by our own full-time, factory-certified crews. The people who quote your job are the people accountable for it.

Will you clean up afterward?

Yes. We remove and dispose of the old windows and leave your home cleaner than we found it — that’s a standard, not an upsell.

In the community

Neighbors, not a national chain

Bulldog started as a two-person operation in 2001 and never sold out. The money you spend here stays here — our 1,500+ installs were done by full-time local crews, not subcontractors flown in for the week.

When we say we treat every customer like a neighbor, it’s because most of them are. We live in the same Tri-State towns, shop the same stores, and stand behind our work long after the truck pulls away.
