My Mount Lookout lot slopes, and rain washes out the beds below the downspout — can gutters help?
Yes. On a sloped lot the fix is oversized downspouts routed and extended to the low side, so the roof water is carried past the beds instead of dumping right above them. Seamless gutters keep the water in the run all the way to those downspouts rather than leaking it out at the seams partway down.
