My Sharonville front door faces the afternoon sun. Will sidelights make the foyer hot?
Not the way old single-pane glass would. The insulated Low-E glass we use reflects a large share of the sun's heat back out while still letting the light through. So you get the bright foyer without the entry turning into a hot spot on a west-facing Sharonville afternoon. If privacy near the street is a concern, we can put obscure glass in the panel closest to the walk.
Can I add sidelights to my existing door?
