Will road noise off Dixie Highway come through a new bay window?
Less than you'd expect. The triple-pane Low-E glass and the fully sealed, insulated frame cut a good amount of the traffic noise the old single-pane bay let through. It won't make the room silent, but most Erlanger homeowners near the busier streets notice the difference right away.
What’s the difference between a bay and a bow window?
A bay is three windows — a picture window flanked by two angled units — for a boxier projection. A bow uses four or more equal units curved into a gentle arc. Bays feel bolder; bows feel softer.
Can a bay window replace my old picture window?
Often, yes — it’s a popular upgrade. It does involve exterior work to build the projection and flashing, which we scope and price at the free consultation.
Are bay windows drafty?
