Can I vent my Day Heights basement without leaving the window open to the weather?
That's exactly what the tilt-in hopper design is for. You open the sash inward a few inches to move stale, damp air, and the overhang and frame keep rain from blowing straight in. When you want it shut, the multi-point lock draws it tight against the weatherstrip so nothing gets past.
What is a hopper window?
A window hinged at the bottom that tilts inward at the top to open. It’s the standard style for basement and other small below-grade openings.
Do hopper windows keep water out?
