My Camp Washington basement stays humid down in the valley. Can a hopper help air it out?
Yes, that's one of the main reasons people down here choose a hopper. The sash tilts inward so you can crack it open on a dry day and move the humid air out, then lock it flush when you're done. Combined with a tight weatherstrip seal, it keeps the valley damp from settling back in.
What is a hopper window?
